I had depression with many years that I lost count until I got into darksouls 1 I was so fascinated with the lore I kept binge watching dark souls lore on youtube then there was video about don't dare you dare go hollow it got stuck with me how hollowing was referring to depression and giving up was our character going hollow

then it just hit me how I never give up I played that game even tho I was dying over over over again I never gave up it inspired me so much that my depression slowly faded away especially when I beat darks souls 2 in a way dark souls saved me
