I've previously posted about difficulties in finding the right hotels for my honeymoon in November, to Zanzibar (which will include a safari). I've narrowed it down to the following option:

1. Staying 5 days in Tembo Kiwengwa Resort
2. Fly out for Safari in mainland Tanzania (5 Days)
3. Fly back to Zanzibar, and stay in Paje in a private villa for 3 nights (think Emerald Paje Villas or Abode II, as an example).

As a muslim, it is important to me to be able to provide my wife an opportunity to use a private pool or have some private time where there are not a lot of crowds, hence why I chose to end off the honeymoon with a private villa.

An initial question that I had was, is 5 days at Tembo Kiwengwa Resort too long?

Based on the above, do you think these accommodations seem appropriate? Any advice as to itinerary and what I can do would also be helpful. I'd like to have flexibility on itinerary so that if we choose to not to something on one day, we can, and likewise we can also do something if we wanted to.

I'm currently planning a Honeymoon Safari for my fiancé and I in Tanzania, targeting mid-October for 5 days. We will be flying in from Zanzibar and staying in Arusha/Kilimanjaro for one night, before setting off for our private safari (driving only), with the following plan:

Day 1: Tarangire National Park, with accommodation being The Retreat at Ngorongoro.

Day 2 and Day 3: Serengeti, with accommodation being Lala Salama Serengeti Camp.

Day 4: Also Serengeti, but in the afternoon we will transfer to our final accommodation, being Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. This transfer is also a part of the game drive according to the package and will be a game drive in the direction of the lodge / Ngorongoro.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater game drives, and transfer back to Arusha in the afternoon.

Overall, do the lodges seem honeymoon appropriate, and does the package as a whole seem suitable? I'm not sure if I should upgrade any of the lodges/camps to something better, or alter this package in any way.
