3 am thoughts

I honestly don’t get this. Future PhD students at IIT Jodhpur are being told to stay in double occupancy rooms, while in many other IITs, PhD scholars get single rooms, often with balconies and much better living conditions.

Like… what’s the logic here? PhD isn’t undergrad. It’s long-term research, odd working hours, need for privacy, focus, meetings, mental space all of that. Sharing a room at this stage just feels counterproductive.
