First spring with a lawn. It was a drought to start spring so I thought thats all it was. But after a couple weeks with rain, the grass still sucks. Based on research, aerating the lawn would definitely help. I plan on tackling all this in the fall. Along with the plethora of weeds. Is there anything else I can do that doesn't break the bank? And I do have a dog to avoid certain products.

Its been a drought recently. I'm trying not to over water to avoid root rot. Top looks great though. Plenty of afternoon sun. Fertilized and fresh mulch. Mixed with compost and garden soil. I have three others that look fine and havent lost their bottom leaves.
