Harris County Texas

Hello! Looking to see if anyone can share their experience in applying for a non disclosure of their DUI. I have about 4 months of probation left, and my attorney let me know at the beginning of this that I am eligible to apply for non disclosure. I already messaged him this morning asking questions, but I’m curious on someone’s experience from this side of the coin.

Also, if you have recommendations on lawyers to use for this process, that would be great as well. By default I plan on using my current one, but shopping around doesn’t hurt.

Thank you!

Continuing to log my experience as a 1st time offender, .25+ BAC.

As far as smart start goes, still no issues. Surprisingly, these bs fees like a missed appointment / some other calibration fee they said I’d have to pay due to a missed appointment because my car was totaled and not drivable never appeared. No automatic charge, nothing on my account. Been 2 calibration cycles since they said I’d get hit with them too. The fact that my PO emailed them 2x directly saying I can’t calibrate and to waive the fees doesn’t matter to SmartStart just fyi. No issues with the device at all for me.

Side note: at my most recent calibration, the shop said they had to start over because their computer crashed during the actual calibration and I had already paid. They said they charge would show on my debit account as pending, then drop because of the mess up and that I’d have to manually pay again. No problem. I did that, and my smart start account shows I don’t owe again until late June, when my next actual calibration is late May lol. I doubt it’ll hold up, but hey I hope I can sneak by.

Probation: my “high risk” PO I’ve been seeing for a few months now has continued to be very nice and easy going. I was definitely thinking I’d be spoken to like a scumbag before I met him. This was prob my second visit with him where I didn’t have to take a piss test. He let me know because of where I’m at in my probation process, that around June I won’t have to meet in person anymore. My probation is set to end in late August. All I have left to complete are about 3 weeks of SOP, and my lone 10 hours of community service. Haven’t done community service yet since I was given the list of approved locations maybe 2 months ago even after requesting them. You also need a clearance / request from be sent from your PO to the location you choose - at least that’s the case in my experience. All court / probation fees were paid within the first 4 ish months.

Just posting in case it helps anyone beginning their experience or throughout their current experience. Happy to answer any questions. Good luck!

I was supposed to be traveling to Florida today, and after multiple delays and now an unknown arrival time, my host told me to just refund since I’ll be missing the events. I had 1 IPA, and 2 double shots at around 11:20 am. I know I can’t blow anytime soon, but when would be safest?

Before anyone starts lecturing me, I didn’t think I’d have to drive until Sunday night. I am at the airport.

5’7/ 210lbs. Strong/“thick” since size matter for digestion. Had a 3 scoop shake this morning and just now (2:05) had a bag of sun chips. Had a protein bar about an hour ago too.

Thank you!
