Hello! I'll be traveling from the U.S to various cities in the Mediterranean in June including Venice, Olympia, Athens, and some others. I know to visit some temples and cathedrals I will have to dress nicer and modestly, but I am wondering if there is a strict dress code for just exploring the city and dining at local restaurants. I typically wear jeans or shorts and a t-shirt on a daily basis. I know it's a silly concern, but my family is acting like I'll be arrested if I get caught in casual clothing on this trip, so I just wanted to see what others thought lol
