I have no idea what kind of glasses to get, any advice/suggestions?

I never imagined that I would ever need glasses but I’m going to the optometrist on friday and suddenly have to pick the glasses I’m probably going to stick to for years with no idea where to start. Any advice for more casual-style glasses?
