MOC: Diorite Destroyer/ Proper Granite Grinder

No ill will to the power miners granite grinder it was one of my favorite sets growing up, just wanted to make something a little better suited to the name lineage, with a fair bit of inspiration taken from RR slugger’s version of the rock raiders grinder that used ball joints instead of the liftarm swivel system.

Build features everything the rock raiders grinder did, minifig height tool storage, movable legs, spinning drill (which can be easily rotated from the exposed bushing around back), and a few power miners design staples like improperly stored dynamite and a removable floodlight

Brain Attack Revamp: Dreadnaught

My interpretation of my og main pic from the brain attack game. Will be doing more of these (as long as I can find proper helmets to use for them) Max Shoota is definitely next.

HF OC: Harlow Tackle

Back on it with the childhood moc showcase, tonight it’s another member of Zulu Team this time the Heart of the team ol’ support sport Harlow.

He’s one of the new rookies built with the upgrade he was intended to be a fairly by the books hero as far as his loadout but he outright protested the idea of taking something so rudimentary as the now standardized Ice Shield into frontline service he wanted something that could outlast the current ordeal of fire, that wouldn’t just be tossed aside for some new gimmick, he worked hand in hand with the lab techs to make his power conduit multitool which served as a hand mounted Swiss Army knife, a buzzsaw to cut away debris or through enemy armor, an icebreaker on the lower end of the tool to punch through more fragile elements with ease (or save Falco from mishaps with his equipment), and a prototype laser cutter ontop of the tool to serve as offensive support (Blades missing, gotta find a replacement part).

Harlow is a dedicated self sacrificing sap who’s always ready to put himself in danger to protect civilians or his team. He’s always the one who tasked with keeping panicking civilians calm in the face of danger with his warm tone of voice and innate ability to keep the people around him grounded. Carrie is quite frankly astonished he hasn’t been promoted to full on hero rank yet.

HF OC: Falco Ryo

Back at it with childhood moc showcases this time Zulu Team hotshot Falco.

Falco is the youngest by production date on Zulu Team and to be blunt it shows always desperate to show off his new toys in a vain attempt to impress his teammates. From his twin back mounted ice-throwers, to the custom freeze ray and icebreaker he had the lab techs cook up for him to vent the excess cryo fluid rather than having his ice-throwers reset to factory standard.

Falco is incredibly adaptable under pressure always thinking on his feet, it’d be a blessing if he was bright enough to come up with quality plans that didn’t require him to be bailed out by his teammates. He’s the rookie his beleaguered team leader loathes working with the most he reminds her too much of herself in her youth but she fears her attempts at leading him in the right direction with only be heeded after he lands on something as stubborn and stupid as he is.

HF OC: Carrie Phist

Was digging through some of my old Lego collection and found some of my hero factory Mocs from when I was little and lore documents (which I’ll try to revamp from my like 8 year old self’s chicken scratch), figured I’d start with the leader of my hero team.

Carrie Phist (Pronounced Fist), following her upgrade into 2.0 has been given command of Zulu Team in an attempt by the Hero Recon Team to help her shake her stubborn lone wolf tendencies.

With her upgrade she’s been granted the honor of testing out the Hardshell armorset, a type of super dense impact resistant armor that when having absorbed enough kinetic energy is able to produce a near impenetrable force field.

Carrie is a blunt to the point hero never being the most socially amicable even from her days as a rookie but with the advent of rookies being forged en mass following the transition to 2.0 veteran heroes have been pressed into leadership roles wherever possible and Mr. Makuro has faith that when made to educate and empower the next generation she might just break out of her stubborn shell.

Cursed Marine Face

I’m naming him Sgt. Hootie because he looks like he tried to eat a blowfish

H: Sealed Heroes Kat W: Trades or whatever price is fair

No idea how rare this figure is sealed, just found her in my closet and looking to offload her to someone who’ll enjoy her more like it says on the tin I’d prefer Trades mainly marines or Jackals and Grunts

Bushpig Warthog

Built this hog mainly out of a desire to have a human-covenant war era troophog it’s primarily made from the EVA’s Last Stand chassis and the Razorback.

In universe I imagine this was an early test for the M12B’s suspension system, and testing a state of the art hardpoint system called the STUD system that never saw wider adoption. Keeping with the idea that the M12B was only introduced late in the war I imagine the Bushpig entered service in late 2548, primarily seeing adoption with Marine Raider units, who greatly appreciated the modularity along the hogs chassis which allowed for the ability to up armor the vehicle without the need of combat welders

Zacharias Headhunter Contest

So I’ve got an idea but don’t have a computer capable of running infinite at the moment, the Zacharias helmet for the Mark 4 core was stated to be field tested by headhunter Spartan III’s and I wanna see what this community can cook up with that premise, so I figured why not start a Contest for it, first things first however,

Time Frame: from the moment this is pinned you have until June 1st to submit your entry

Ground Rules:

Zero Tolerance for AI “art” submissions

Only Mark IV, Mirage, and Mark V cores can be used as the basis

Cross core armor is allowed (kinda essential given the premise) but glitches are strictly prohibited

One Entry per person

Four photos minimum for your submission to count

No restrictions on where the photos have to be taken but please don’t edit or doctor the photos

If you’re the type who feels up for it write some lore about the Spartan you make, what’s their history, why were they chosen for this test, etc

And lastly have fun!

As far as prizes go for the winner…
$50 Xbox or Steam gift card who wants it?
