3am. I can’t sleep so I decided to make some progress on the NMPD Pelican build. In a little over an hour I was able to finish the landing pad. Unfortunately, there are a few missing pieces. I’ll have to sort that out later. Hopefully I can get some shut eye tonight.

I've sat on sharing this MOC for several years but I think now is the time, after I rebuilt part of the turret. I don't have a good way to take photos so I hope it's alright to share this way.

I originally intended this MOC to be used alongside my CoD 'Desert Tank' (Bradley) for a short stop-motion but never got around to it. It is also based off a really ancient Sheridan that somebody made out of what looked to be ProBuilder parts, but I never found the Mega Construx forum post for it ever again.

Some extra facts:

• I literally found the afvdatabase.com article for the Sheridan right as I was making this post when it would've been handy years ago
• Built mostly out of the Designer Series Scorpion set, some Lego used for the shells I put inside
• By far the easiest detail to make was the IR searchlight. The Tamiya kept it covered, but I made it uncovered out of a clear dome plate pieces and a few smaller pieces
• By far the toughest details to make was the shields for the commander's machine gun, the turret hatches, and the running gear for the tracks. I was originally intending on putting in the small turret that a scorpion gunner would sit in for the commander, but it was far too big and I cut it down to just the frontal shields. The turret hatches took some trial and error, mostly due to me running out of parts that could fit in that tiny space. For the running gear, I had a few of the Halo Infinite mongooses that I thought I could use for the road wheels, but they looked too small. They weren't good for the idler and sprocket neither so I kept the big silver ones off the scorpion instead
• I think thin gun barrels are a very characteristic element of Mega tanks (CoD Battle Tank especially) so I ended up keeping it that way and added on a weird combination fume extractor/bore evacuator/aiming device that I thought looked cool and could make it look a little less wimpy. The inside has a decorative breech that allows the gun to move up/down, to act as a counterbalance for the bore evacuator, and as a way for the figures to sit up on something stable.
• I took quite the creative liberty with some of the greebles/extra details. I cut the smoke grenade launchers down to just 3 on the right side (did not have pieces close to replicating the actual design that were small enough) and made them with the functional flick-fire bricks n' projectiles. I also just stuck 3 of the ammo cans that are supposed to dot the turret all-around on the left. I did want to use the CoD ammo can pieces out of the Anti-Armor Helicopter (Apache) set but did not find any. My next best solution before cutting the cans down were to stick them to the turret with blu-tack. I threw some sandbag pieces on to bolster the thickness underneath the cans. I ultimately chose to skip the frontal "net" attachment and leave some spikes on instead for a more rugged look.
• Skipped the decals found on the Tamiya model and used some of the Scorpion printed pieces instead.

I was looking on google images at Halo marines from mega construx and found this render on Amazon uk. I never seen them release a removable helmet halo 3 marine. Is this something that was never released or what? Does anybody know?

Only paid $20 for all these😳. Super hyped about the gold Chief cause I got some custom gold lego spartan parts to make a lego version as well(gold lego spartan parts are from CloneArmyCustoms if anyone is wondering where to get some as well).

I don’t even collect Pokemon MEGA but I am sorry for the fans. They just got the biggest downgrade.

We had it good for so many years and we didn’t even know it.

I know it wasn’t perfect with MEGA specially with distribution but wow, now I have to really thank the designers of MEGA for making feel each Pokémon as close as the source material.

Saw a listing on eBay for the figure below, they come with two energy swords but wasn't sure if this is Arbiter is Ripa or Thel.

The seller doesn't know much about halo so could have added swords to the wrong figure.

Also, is there actually a difference between Thels arbiter armour and Ripas?

I bought this figure on ebay and the package and figure have a really strong nicotine smell. The seller denied it but did offer a return. I want to try and keep it since I got it for 15 dollars, which is a pretty good price for jul. I just can't stand the smell and can't get rid of it no matter how much I wash it. Any help is really appreciated. The smell is so strong I might just try to find another for the same price and return this one.

Curious how they'll fit in Mega figure hands. I think they belonged to some off-brand sets that were also on the shelves nearby. Some swat-themed knockoff garbage. These seem pretty high quality though.

On vacation so will have to wait to see how they look in Mega hands.

Some of the guns, like the sniper, won't work, I can already tell.
