Taking away mental load from life tasks has become much more important for me as a new HENRY, looking for suggestions!
I'm a 22M recent grad, and started my first full time job a few months ago across the country from my hometown. With how stressful work can be + being new to the city, one thing I've found that's become incredibly important for me is just trying to minimize mental load from logistical life tasks. I imagine this becomes even more important for people with kids and pets.
In college I used to always pay bills manually, and not having to think about them by putting them on auto pay has been so nice. Setting up auto investing has been great too. Even things like having a set grocery list on the app + using delivery (this is partially using money to win back time too) so I don't have to manually pick too much every time. I have ADHD asw, so stuff that would take at most 10 minutes ends up taking so much mental energy if I procrastinate it lol.
Splitting these tasks with my partner has been great too so we both only have to worry about half as much as we would before.
Is there anything you have found that was helpful or worth buying for everyday mental load?
