Label Printing Hell

I’m a candle maker and have a Canon Pro 100 printer so I can print high quality labels in small runs if I have to. For the life of me, I can’t get the labels to print correctly. Either the artwork is short, where you can see the white label on the sides. Or the artwork/text is past the label, and it gets cut off. The last time I tried to print labels, I tried for over 2 hours to get the alignment right, wasting so much paper.

I had a Canon Mark II printer before this, and it was great.

- I use a template. I’ve tried all kinds and downloads/file types. Same issue.

- I’ve tried borderless printing, messing with the margins, increasing the size of the artwork, moving the text around. If I move things around just a little, sometimes there’s a huge jump on the printing.

- it looks totally fine on the screen. Everything is well within the label.

-Sometimes, one row of labels is fine, but the next is all messed up.

Please if there is anyone who can help me, that would be great. I can’t waste 2 hours every time I want to print a label. Also, I think I found a template that works, save it and replace the artwork, it’s the same mess all over again. 🫠😭
