My boyfriend and I have been together for 1.7 years, but lately our fights have been increasing a lot, and honestly most of them happen because of my behavior. Last Saturday we had another fight, and later that night he calmly said that we fight too much, we don’t keep each other happy anymore, and maybe we shouldn’t stay together. At that moment I acted careless and just kept saying “okay okay,” but later I realized the issue wasn’t even that big and I genuinely don’t want to lose him.
The same day, he also saw a chat on my phone where I had asked someone on Telegram about a doubt. He got upset and said that I could’ve asked him instead. Maybe that also made him start thinking seriously about breaking up.
We’re meeting today because he has some of my documents to return, and I’m scared this might be my last chance to talk to him properly. I really love him and I want to fix things instead of ending everything over fights and misunderstandings?
TL;DR: My boyfriend and I have been together for 1.7 years, but constant fights and misunderstandings are pushing us apart. After our last fight he talked about breaking up, and now I want advice on how to approach him and try to save the relationship.
