Disappointed how this community r/Telangana has predominantly become a political community with non stop politics subs. There's hardly anything about the culture, the food, the festivals, the tourism, the weather, raising social issues, nothing else.

I’m genuinely disappointed to see what this community has devolved into lately.

When you join a state-specific sub, you expect a digital reflection of the actual place, its pulse, identity, and everyday life.

Instead, r/Telangana has predominantly become a political echo chamber. It’s non-stop political submissions, link-dumping, and partisan bickering. It feels less like a community space and more like a toxic political news aggregator.

Politics matters, but Telangana is so much bigger and richer than whatever political feud is trending this week. By letting politics hijack the narrative, we are completely burying the things that actually define us.

Where is everything else?

Culture & Festivals: Telangana has a fiercely distinct heritage. Why aren't we talking about our history or celebrating the community spirit behind festivals like Bathukamma and Bonalu?

Our Food: Everyone knows Hyderabadi Biryani, but our regional Telangana cuisine, the rustic, fiery flavors, the jonna rotte, and district specialties, hardly gets a mention. We should be sharing recipes and local spots.

Tourism: We have incredible hidden gems, from the ancient engineering of the Kakatiya dynasty to the waterfalls in Adilabad and ecotourism at Laknavaram. Where are the travel guides and weekend road-trip recs?

Everyday Life: There is hardly anything about the weather, local photography, art, or even grassroots social issues that affect citizens on the ground without a political spin.

We are completely crowding out the soul of the state. A region is defined by its people, its food, and its shared experiences, not just its politicians. We desperately need to bring back the content that actually makes us proud to call Telangana home.

Telugu Cinema Producers used to have some class and even some very serious issues used to be resolved very very amicably without any controversy until these lucchas came into the scene. Controversy lekapothe veellu brathakaleremo.
