Amateur Poetry Hour
For my border princes game I have been doing little gazetteers based on the happenings in the area and local news. I always end things off with an amateur poetry section that is sent in to the principalities only printing shop. So if you have some terrible warhammer poetry, songs or short tales post below and I'll feature them along side such grand works as:
An Ode to Ale - Marco di Pavano
Ale, sweet ale, how thou dost soothe my care,
A balm most fine for hearts in bleak despair.
Thy frothy crown, a halo bright doth shine,
As though thou art some gift from realms divine.
Yet oft thou leavest heads in heavy plight,
And tongues do wag most foolishly at night.
On the Moon - Isabeau Gruten
The moone it hangs like a ball of white,
In the sky, it be bright at nite.
Sum says wolves cry to it they do,
But I think it just ther thing too do.
A Fishwife’s Song - Marine Fischentz
O herring, O herring, thy scales do shine,
Thou keepest my purse heavy, my belly full of wine.
Though folk complain of thy smell so rank,
‘Tis silver in my nets, and coin in the bank!
Da Big Chop - Hue Mann
I sawz da dem standin’ dere,
All shiny armor, all posh an’ fair.
I said, “Oi, git, yer skull looks tough!”
Den I krumped ‘im good, but not good enuff!
So I grabs me choppa, da big, sharp wun,
An’ swung it round fer da propa fun.
’E fell like a sack o’ cats, all flat!
An’ I took ‘is ‘elmet, now I wears dat!
Moral o’ da tale? Dere ain’t none, see?
Cuz da only good baddies is krumped by me!
