I know things have been posted here but I haven’t found an answer totally. Heading to the track this summer for my first time and going to buy grandstand tickets. Is there any reason to get closer to the 8th pole or is any grandstand seat fine with 8 people in our group.

The advice I have seen is just sit higher up so you have a covered/shaded spot incase of hot day/rain.

I have been to Saratoga a bunch to golf and hang out but never a horse race so pretty excited for this one.

Second question is any good videos out there for helping with reading a race card and strategy?
