I got my rog Xbox ally x a little after launch, and it’s been working great. But recently it started overheating like crazy, even to the point that it’s destroyed two ssd’s, luckily I could get the second one refunded (the first one came with the device) but it’s obvious that something’s wrong, it’s not dirty inside and I never cover the intake for the fans, even when it’s off. I just picked up a new ssd, but I’m hesitant to use my device. I’m thinking of getting new fans and I’ve seen external fans you can attach to the back that I might buy, but really I’m just looking for answers for why it could be overheating so bad, even when I’m running a game like terraria on performance mode while not charging.
