I'm an incoming freshman majoring in Computer Science at Cooper Union this fall. Since the CS program is relatively new, I'm still trying to figure out what the experience and opportunities will look like as I progress through the program. I'm also keeping an open mind about potentially transferring down the line, but I don't want to make that decision prematurely.

I'd really appreciate any general advice, especially from people who have been in a similar situation. I'm still figuring out what kind of trajectory I want to pursue in CS and what kinds of projects I should focus on during college, so I'd really value hearing out anyone about what would be worth prioritizing in the current moment if they were in my shoes.

Feedback on Robot Car + Project Ideas

I'm currently an incoming college freshman at the Cooper Union, and I've been involved in my high school's Science Olympiad for quite some time. I spent a good chunk of time on one particular event, Robot Tour, and I recently got around to finally putting the project itself up on GitHub for the first time.

I'm hoping to use it as a tangible project I can point to on my resume/portfolio as I build it, rather than just listing it as a part of an extracurricular.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on the project, especially what I could improve in terms of the code, documentation, or overall presentation.

I'm also looking for ideas for projects to work on as I start college. What are some interesting projects you would recommend for someone with a background in robotics/Arduino and programming who wants to get deeper into CS?
