3rd carve and having splotching issues (HELP)

This is my first time working with the hard grey Lino block and no matter how much ink I put on it or pressure I still gets a bad print.

I’m using water based ink on cardstock (I tried with regular printer paper too) and the super cheap speedball brand starter tools. Pressing by hand with a thin hardcover book on top of the block to push evenly.

All tips are appreciated!

For those in CT District 1 that don't want to support an AIPAC backed candidate...

Be wary of John Larson!

I've been doing my research into candidates for next month's Democrat Primary, and I found some stuff I personally find shady about our incumbent Rep. John Larson.

When searching his campaign website's page for his endorsements, I didnt find anything too controversial ( https://larsonforcongress.org/endorsements/ ) . When doing a detailed search on ballotopedia, it marked him as being endorsed by AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) (1st image).

To confirm, I double checked on the offical AIPAC endorsement portal ( https://candidates.aipacpac.org/page/featured/ ) and searching his name indeed showed him as someone with strong ties to the organization (2nd image).

It bothers me greatly that he would attempt to obfuscate his connections to AIPAC by not mettioning it on any of his socials or campaign materials, and comes off as someone knowing they are doing a bad thing and trying to hide it.

Now while it can't be proven for a fact that he recieved lobbying money for these efforts, it's my opinion that he wouldnt mind financial compensation for his position (EDIT: comments informed me that this can be proven through mandatory disclosure documents, though im busy so im not gonna look it up rn).

I wasn't going to be a supporter of his before due to his lukewarm attempts to help the working and middle class like most establishment dems, but this definitely sealed it for me.

I urge you to reconsider any other candidate for this poisition come the primary August 11th and the election November 3rd

The Dying Spire is Awesome! (I have one teeny tiny issue)

I got the opportunity to GM The Dying Spire at my FLGS for Free RPG day this year, and I am happy to say this adventure was a blast!

I am in a weird situation since I ended up having only one player, but it still ran amazing. One thing I was worried about was that there was too much content to get done in a 3-4 hour span (the book having three combat encounters and lots of exploration in between), but we ended up going slightly under-time, with it still feeling dense and complete.

My singular teeny tiny issue came with the GM's setup, specifically with its print version.

  1. All of the character sheets are nicely perforated near the binding of the book so they can be easily separated, but the cut-out paper miniature pages were not, making it awkward to get my scissors aligned properly to remove them.
  2. a few of the miniature pages were laid out to where there were small gaps in between the cut lines for each mini, forcing me to cut multiple times where I could have cut one long straight line. Whats confusing is that this occurs only on some of them, with many being laid out optimally. (I realize that this is pure nit-picking but after an hour of cutting it gets to ya lol)

SPOILERS BELOW | PLAYERS BEGONE!

>!The final boss was SOOO COOOOOOL!!! The Soot King's mechanics (specifically the giant heart laser blast) was so engaging (even for one player) and the inclusion of terrain pieces lended to making creative decisions. My example of this is my player using the pillars in the Soot King's lair to block his laser blast, but the pillars get destroyed each time, creating thrilling tension as their resources slowly dwindled.!<

>!Also Claymeleons are adorable :)!<
