Weak legs and falls
So I've had peripheral neuropathy for many years and it has been gradually increasing. A couple of years ago I noticed my legs had started shaking whenever I was standing up. I had also noticed a problem with keeping my balance.
Then a couple of months ago I fell because I lost my balance. I was able to get up off the ground, although it was difficult. I went home and started noticing pain in my side with breathing. I thought I might have cracked a rib so I called my doctor's office and got an appointment that day. When I went to leave for my appointment, I stepped out my front door and immediately my leg gave way and I fell again. This time I couldn't get up and ended up having to call 911.
Since then I've fallen probably two or three more times and each time I've had to call my son to come help me get up. So I got a walker, but even with that I can barely manage to get up from a chair.
Is this probably from the neuropathy? It's got me quite worried.
