I got a first base mitt and it broke in just fine except the leather right about the palm of the hand (and right below the base of the fingers). It can be tough to close, the pocket feels fine but that spot of leather feels hard to close and “pushes” into my hand pretty hard. I’ve done quite the break in process. Did the oven treatment with spray, rubbed the break in cream on it a few times, wrapped it up with a ball, wrapped it up with no ball, left weight on it over night, beat it was a Mallet, played multiple games with it, and a lot of catch with it. It’s good enough to play with but I would like it to be more comfortable. Am I doing something wrong? Or what tips do you might have?
