Job reposted at a lower grade. Red flag?

Edit: spoke to a friend of a friend who works for the department and she confirmed they decided after the job went live that they want it to be a lower grade.

I saw and applied for a job which looked perfect for me at SEO grade but saw it too late to apply (saw it at 10:30pm on the evening it was due).

Had another look at the jobs today and noticed the same job has been posted again but at HEO with additional hoops to jump through for the application. I have a small red flag being raised in the back of my mind, but maybe it just sometimes happens that they decide after advertising that it should be a lower grade. While I’m not thrilled at going down a grade, I’m not against it to get the experience within the team. But it feels likely that I’ll be expected to do SEO work for HEO pay.

I’ll throw in an application over the weekend but just curious if anyone has experienced anything similar.

A failure and a win

I got a bike recently (well, a second one cause the first one I got was too big for me and I ended up falling off it). I went out for my first proper cycle today and was so nervous that I wouldn’t be able to do it. I haven’t cycled since I was a teen so had visions of me falling off, being super wobbly etc. Was struggling to make myself start pedalling and kept chickening out. Eventually did it and was surprised that I was absolutely fine and while I need to improve my confidence, I didn’t have any issues. I felt great!

And then, pretty quickly realised how unfit I am. I won’t say how far I cycled because it was embarrassing but it was really bad. Went home feeling equally happy, ashamed, and deflated.

There were a couple of slopes (can’t even call them hills) that killed me. Going out tomorrow on a flat road to see how I get on but I’m not starting from a good place.

No point to this post. Just wanted to get it off my chest I guess!

Can’t move pedal backwards into top position

I got a new bike and am about to ride it for the first time properly. I’m having an issue where I can’t get the pedal to move into the upwards position. When I pedal it backwards, the chain goes loose and then it snaps back into place with the pedal at its original position. I’m a total newbie when it comes to cycling and I’m not sure why it’s doing that.
