I just accepted a position as an Academic Advisor, specifically working with first-years and teaching first-year seminar courses. As someone starting their first full time job, I would appreciate any tips or advise!

24yo with congenital nystagmus. I have been driving since 16 and don’t have any problems besides driving in dark and rain. Reading some signs can be tricky but besides that I am confident. I am 20/50 corrected and am stressed about taking the eye exam to renew my license. I know I will probably just have to go to an eye doctor to sign off for me.
On a side note- I just wear glasses. I’ve heard contacts are a big help. Do you all notice a difference in contacts over glasses?

I (24M) am about 8 months out since my MD. The difference is night and day prior to the operation. There are a few things I’m still noticing:
My Lower back tends to hurt for a minute or two after sleeping in bed- I try to sleep on my back but notice it no matter what.
I will occasionally get light tingling in either of my legs for a short period of time, but it will go away soon
I sometimes get some low back pain when I sneeze- not as bad as before the surgery
I’ve gone back to safe resistance training and I’ve felt great- have slight aches but I believe it’s more muscular.

I graduated this May with my Masters in Higher Education. I have applied to many jobs but am having no luck. I have had several 1st and 2nd round interviews, but end up being unsuccessful. I’m starting to considering transitioning outside of just higher education at this point as I only have a limited time before my current role is done. (Wanting to work in South East area). Would love advice for those in similar situations.
Current am I graduate assistant and have 2 years experience with facility operations.
