I have been saving up for almost a year so I can buy in bulk. Tomorrow is my birthday and there couldn't be a better gift that I could have got for myself. Very Happy! 🥹 And I just got done putting these up on my shelf so here's a shelfie as well.

I'm reading "The Mayor of Casterbridge" by Thomas Hardy. I got this from Mahila Haat, Daryaganj and this belonged to someone named Pippa Jackson, she has annotated so much throughout this book now I'm reading the book and her thoughts (and annotating plus highlighting things myself as well) and it feels nice to have a book that was once someone else's! I wish someday someone would think the same about my books.

Well maybe I am too generous with my ratings but I honestly give a book 5 star rating if it was able to give me a sort of life-like experience and what I mean by that is if I am able to imagine everything written as if I am one of the characters in the book and the storyline of the book gets me hooked then that book for me is a 5 out of 5! (Which, in my case, seems to happen quite often)

I have been waiting to buy Kindle since forever, but everyone said wait for the prime day sale. And since they have already released the offers and discounts they're giving on other Amazon devices like Echo, firestick etc, I can't seem to find any disclosure of discounts on this? Do they release the offer for kindle on the day of Prime Day sale or are they just not going to give a discount at all this time.

This is so diabolical, why would they do this. My jaw literally dropped.😭

I was bored of seeing the same card every day so I just printed some pics on w Glossy Paper and then pasted it on my card🥳

If you wish to do the same here are the steps:

Step 1: Choose some pics of course, I used pintrest to find some good ones but you may choose whatever you like! (You can put your card number on one of the pics from some editing app, if you don't like that then skip this step but do note your card number)

Step 2: This is a VERY important step, you will need to make sure when you print the picture (in A-4 Size paper) it comes out the same size as your metro card.

If you only have an android then I think Canva can do this for you (not sure as I didn't use that), if you have a Desktop then you will need to download a software called Inkscape.

Step 3: In inkscape, add your pictures this way: File>Import>Select-Pic>Open (please do note that I had issues importing my pic and it kept showing an error, the best solution I found was to open the pic in Photos app and just resave them as a copy).

Now when your pic gets loaded it will be huge and will be probably outside the White Sheet, on top you can see W: and H: written, I selected the metrics as mm. You can put 55.800 mm in Width and 88.590 mm in height, given that your picture is in portrait.

Save your picture by clicking on File>Export>(change DPI to 300)>Click Export.

Please note that you can fit upto 9 pics on a single page so instead of wasting you might as well print 9 pics. Though, I would recommend you to print the same print quite a few times too IF you do not have a printer of your own. I had to redo mine quite a few times so yea that's a hassle.

Step 4: You can choose which kind of paper you wish to print on, I chose Glossy Photo Paper because i wanted it shiny and not dull, but honestly I've tried the print on plain paper as well and that's great too. So, if you don't have a printer, you can go to the nearest cyber cafe and print it.

Step 5: This is another important step, after you have the print you need to cut it out VERY carefully, I made a lot of mistakes on this part i kept pasting and removing because it did not turn out well, so please be careful during this step.

Step 6: Now that you have your cutouts, it's time to paste them! I used Fevi Stik because Fevicol is way too strong and if i made any mistake it was easier to just remove the pasted print from the card. Now first let one side be done, make sure to put the adhesive nicely, especially, on the edges and corners!

After you have pasted one side successfully you need to grab your scissors and Cut the edges with the scissors so that it is curved and not sharp. You need to be very careful here as well, i sometimes cut it too much or not in a proper way and I wasn't satisfied so I redid it!😭 Do the same thing with the back side and your custom Delhi Metro card is ready!

I went to Mahila Haat, Daryaganj on Sunday and I got a bunch of books. Today as I was writing my own name, the place where I bought it and the date on them, I saw that this book once belonged to someone named R. K. Sharma back in 1973 and I can't exactly explain the feeling but it feels nice to know that a book has survived through all these years, it's been a part of many different people. Who knows, maybe one day my book will be in someone's hands and they'll be appreciating it like me.
