Please urgent need help for sexual harrasment case
I'm 23F from Delhi.
A few months ago, my boyfriend's best friend sexually harassed me when I was intoxicated. I don't want to go into all the details here, but I want to know what my legal and practical options are.
My main concern is that I do not want my family to get involved or find out.
I already approached the Delhi Commission for Women and submitted a written complaint. They told me they cannot simply call or warn the accused and advised me to go to the police instead.
The thing is, I don't want a full police case if possible. I don't want revenge or a lengthy legal battle. I just want some official intervention so that they realize the seriousness of what happened and apologize.
My questions are:
Is there any legal way to get an official warning or mediation without filing an FIR?
Can the police call someone to the station based only on a complaint, without registering an FIR?
Has anyone had a similar experience with the Delhi Commission for Women?
Is there any authority in Delhi that can intervene without immediately involving my family?
