Short of breath/constant yawning/air hunger
I'm struggling with what I believe to be a perimenopause symptom and looking for help. The last few months have been a wild ride of various symptoms but this current one I might hate the most (other than the rage month). It feels like I don't have enough air and this causes me to yawn deeply to get a deep breath. The yawn is not always successful but it is sometimes. I'm wondering if anyone else has this or has had this and how to stop it. Heat seems to make it worse. My chest does feel heavy and it's lowered my appetite.
I do have asthma-but it doesn't feel like asthma and the asthma meds haven't made a difference.
I do have anxiety but it's been under control. However, this issue DOES make me anxious as I basically have my mouth open half the day yawning for deep breath while I do have constant meetings looking like I don't get enough sleep and people have commented on it.
I have asked about HRT but my doctor won't prescribe and believes it's only for menopause not perimenopause. My dr just doubled my anxiety meds and called it a day.
Please let me know if you've had this and how to get rid of it! TIA
