Best at-home permanent facial hair removal options (details in post)?

I feel like I've tried everything and am not having much luck with facial hair removal. The hair on my face is wispy but black, and even the darker/thicker hairs are not much thicker than an eyelash but still noticeable because I have very pale skin and dark hair. Trying to research at-home removal options has been overwhelming so I'd appreciate any help here 😅

Previously, I used to wax this hair at home but then I noticed the hair seemed to grow back faster over time and it seemed like it was causing me to get fine lines around my mouth. So, I tried laser and that seemed to activate(?) more hairs to grow and had the opposite effect so I stopped that (but have had good laser hair removal results elsewhere so I'm not sure what that issue was; but the laser tech agreed I should stop on the face). Then I tried electrolysis for a bit but the place near me closed so I wasn't able to go long enough to see results. I did that 2-3 times but never noticed anything (positive or negative) and know I probably didn't do it enough to see results.

For now, I switch between shaving and depilatory cream (like Nair or Veet) because that's easiest, but I've noticed more hairs growing in on my face after this. Because I know these methods can't change the hair growth I'm thinking maybe fine, translucent hair was removed and grew back black so now I can see more of it? It's gotten to be really frustrating and I just want something permanent, ideally that I can do at home. But different people have different results, and I'm having difficulty finding a safe, reliable, at-home product for facial hair removal, so I'd appreciate any recommendations you all could give!

How often do you hear from friends unprompted?

Online it feels like there's 2 extremes: women who hear from friends 24/7 & women who never hear from anyone. What're your experiences?

English-speaking housing agents in Kobe?

Tried searching but only found this post from a while ago, so I figured I'd ask the Osaka sub: does anyone have any recommendations for English-speaking housing/rental agencies in Kobe (or in Osaka but would service Kobe/the area between Kobe and Osaka)? Or recommendations for where to look?

Advice generally on moving to the city would also be appreciated! The Kobe sub seems kind of dead unfortunately 😅

English-speaking barre classes? How about shamisen classes?

Does anyone have any recommendations for barre classes around Kyoto (ideally in English)? Willing to go to Osaka/Kobe too, but Kyoto's more convenient.

In a completely different direction, how about shamisen? Likewise also looking for lessons in English here but willing to travel to Osaka/Kobe for it.

Hope this is ok to post here, tried googling but couldn't find much recently for either.

Normally I put experience at the top of my resume because it's the most recent, however, I left my last position to pursue graduate studies in Japan, so should experience or education be first? I'm currently looking for marketing roles at international firms in Japan and using an English resume, while still being enrolled in graduate school.

I ask because my education at the top says that I left almost a year ago and I'm worried that recruiters/employers who don't read far enough won't put two and two together that I left to pursue graduate school. My concern is they'd think I've been unemployed for almost a year. Even with graduate school though, I definitely still have more experience than education so l'm not sure it makes sense to put it at the bottom either... What do you all recommend?

Does anyone know of any festivals or events doing stuff for Cinco de Mayo in Kyoto/Kansai? Tried searching but couldn't really find anything in Kyoto that wasn't just bar stuff. My friends and I aren't really into bars but we like cultural festivals and Mexican food so I thought there might be stuff going on.

Even if not in Kyoto, but in Osaka or nearby cities that'd be great! TIA!
