Trying to diagnose AC on my 2005 Yukon
I have a 2005 Yukon with 205XXX miles on it, the air conditioning has been on the Fritz for a few years now. I usually just push through it but we have a baby now and although my wife’s ride is good to go, I need to be able to also safely transport a baby without cooking her.
The fronts never got too cold, the rear worked okay. So I checked the pressure with an AC recharge kit and it was in the green. I did a relearn on the HVAC by pulling fuses/relays and that seemed to fix it for about a month. Then when it stoped working I noticed the compressor wasn’t spinning at all, so I replaced both belts and tensioners and the compressor still doesn’t come on.
If I can fix this on my own, I would like to - but everything I know how to do I’ve learned on YouTube. If the compressor needs to be replaced I don’t mind paying someone to do that but if it’s possibly a DIY I’d prefer to go that route.
Short of purchasing new fuses and relays, maybe doing another relearn, is there anything glaringly obvious that I could try or diagnose?
It has the digital hvac controller with dual zone climate control, 5.3v8. Thank you!
