Building an app for dog parks (Live status & playdates). As dog owners, would you actually use it or is it too much hassle?

Hey everyone!

I have a very high-energy dog, and I often go to my local dog park. Here is the frustrating part about it: it’s either completely empty and my dog just stares at me bored, or it’s absolutely packed and too chaotic or theres like unneutered dogs that could be aggresive etc.

Being a web developer, I’m thinking about building a free PWA/app to solve this, but before I start writing code, I want your honest (and brutal) opinion on whether you'd find this handy.

The idea is simple:

Live Status: You check a map to see how many dogs are currently at the park so you know if it’s worth the trip.

Playdate Alerts: When you check in, the app notifies your dog’s "friends" that you are there for a playdate.

Exercise Stats: You input breed/weight, and the app tells you exactly how many minutes of off-leash running your dog needs per day, tracking the time while you are inside.

My question to you: Would you actually bother tapping an "Arrived" or "Left" button (or tracking if you are at the park via geofencing) when entering the park (maybe scanning a QR code at the gate)? Or do you think that with all the leash-tangling and chaos of arriving, nobody will actually do it?

Any feedback is highly appreciated!

Greek Airbnb hosts: how do you reconcile Airbnb/Booking with AADE tax reporting and TAKK?

Question mainly for hosts in Greece.

How do you actually make sure Airbnb/Booking amounts match what eventually gets reported to AADE?

Especially when there are:

  • cancellations
  • platform fees
  • partial refunds
  • payout differences

Do you manually compare exports? Use spreadsheets? Trust your accountant?

I only have a small property and I feel like this gets messy really fast. Curious how other Greek hosts handle it.
