to anyone that had Dr. Abhimanyu Acharya, how was he? I have him rn for spring term and he does have a good amount of readings and videos but so far a lot of them repeat what hes mentioned (w some depth). How strict is he w his readings n extra vids when it comes to his quizzes and exams? cant rlly seem to find much on him.
okay so basically i found a place w my friends near campus and yk i got the cheapest room to make sure my parents aren’t paying too much or anything. but my mom lost her job recently, she got a new one but it’s not making as much as before. it’s clear that this and amongst other payments (med bills for family back home and jus overall supporting them, mortgage, extra curricular for sibling, etc), it’ll be difficult for my parents to pay my rent. i don’t want them to obviously i’m tryna get a job but it’s hard yk. i’ve tried for scholarships but im not smart enough (adjusting to uni so lol fml) or not poor enough ig (sorry if that’s offensive in any way) and osap didn’t give any grants just one loan last year. wtv beyond that there’s no real support ig and i don’t wanna contribute to the burden, should i just commute? i would be saving but the reason why i originally wanted to stay on campus was cause u would have late classes (ends at 930-10 pm). idk any advice on commuting in general or just something that ca help w my expenses? i’m in a heavy program so workload could be crazy. i’m aiming for masters/phd in pharma so yk my grades need to be good n extracurriculars and i’m afraid if they drop because i get tried from commuting. like i would def not commute third or fourth year its just rn idk what to do. my parents keep telling me to think it through if i rlly want to commute and that they’ll be able to adjust if i decide to stay there. like i would just need to budget like crazy yk. idk what to do i can’t tell what’s the smartest decision. commutes like 1-2 hrs depending on bus n how busy it is overall
ik i’m lwk rlly late but my gpa is 8.5/12 rn mainly because i took bad electives knowing how hard my program is but i wanna bring it up so would summer school be worth it? im tryna do masters/phd for pharma research, is my gpa rlly low and should i use the spring/summer to bring it up? also would i have to reapply for osap? i feel so shitty for it lol i don’t wanna rant but my parents n bf were like oh take this and this and i did it cause they convinced me of taking early morning classes i knew i wasn’t gonna wake up for and convinced me i would’ve changed but like wtv i failed.
