PC whea uncorrectable
Recently bought a pc off eBay, only description was that it opens to bios fine.
Ryzen 5 5600X
RTX 3070
16gb ram (unbranded)
750W psu
1tb Samsung ssd 980 pro
Strix x570-E motherboard
When downloading windows I received a crash of WHEA Uncorrectable. After a few attempts of installing windows I was finally able to get in. Checking the event viewer it says event 46 component memory.
It’s not overheating, not overlocked, I’ve reseated and cleaned all items, nothing has physical damage.
Tried:
Updating bios to newest non beta
Fresh windows install after formatting drive
AMD drivers install
Nvidia drivers install
Windows memory diagnostic
Swapping ram- no change
Swapping CPU
The weird thing is after swapping the cpu both pc’s have absolutely no issues. Meaning the spare runs fine with the cpu in question. Running games, stress test, downloading. No crash at all.
The spare pc has an ASrock B450M motherboard and Ryzen 7 3700X cpu.
