Blatant Copy/Paste on Final

I feel like crap failing a student on the final. They submitted a clear AI copy paste slop response to the short answer tough question on my final. I allowed it to be open everything since it’s an online course and I believe that AI can be a tool to learn. Wow, I didn’t realize students wouldn’t understand that they can’t just copy and paste answers. This answer was the longest response I have ever seen to a final exam question. It contained formatted tables, code, ascii text and about 5 paragraphs with ten bulleted points. For context, this is a CS course and a perfect score response was a short as 2-3 sentences. Of course they denied the use of AI. Fed up, I just CCd the department chair. Of course they admitted after I got them involved. I never thought I’d have to explicitly say plagiarism is not allowed even if I did allow them to use whatever resources available. It is in the student handbook after all. What are we supposed to do, especially teaching an online course??? Welp, we will see what happens when the chair replies tomorrow. Really bummed out.

Best massage for the money by Sandy and 82nd?

Not looking for a rub and tug, just broke and need help with some knots in my neck and shoulder that are affecting my hand. Anyone has the scoop on the best deal for the quality? Happy to spend some money, just not trying to sacrifice my other arm lol

Repair Cafe Success!

Someone posted somewhere about the repair cafe in Northeast today. To whoever posted that, THANK YOU!

I donated a couple bucks and had my shirt and pants repaired by some lovely people today! It was a great experience getting to know my fellow community members and having a few pieces of clothing repaired. Apparently they do this twice a month and repair more than just clothing. I just want to give a huge shoutout to the volunteers who make this experience such a great time. I had the opportunity to hear some great stories from the volunteers about my hometown and what it was like before I was born. We shared pictures of our cats and it was just a super cool vibe.

Just wanted to make this post so others are aware and can breathe new life to their broken items.

Thanks yall!
