Accenture Offer Received – Need Genuine Advice Regarding Location Flexibility (Mainframe Project)
I recently received an offer for a Mainframe/Cobol role (ML9) aligned to Hyderabad. Compensation discussion is mostly closed, and my main concern now is location flexibility.
I currently have a 2-year-old child and a senior citizen at home, so relocation outside Kerala is a significant decision for my family. While going through the offer documents, I noticed mentions about remote working/work-from-office frequency depending on project and business requirements.
HR mentioned that only the Project Manager can decide practical flexibility regarding location/work model, but currently I’m unable to connect with the PM before accepting the offer.
So I wanted to understand from existing employees:
How flexible are Mainframe projects usually regarding work location?
Is hybrid/remote/common for such projects?
Is it possible to later align to Bangalore/Chennai/Kerala locations while officially being tagged to Hyderabad?
How strict is the work-from-office expectation practically in Accenture projects currently?
I’m genuinely excited about the opportunity, but trying to understand the practical side before taking a major relocation decision.
