IVF with PGT-A testing vs. without testing
Hi all! Wondering what your opinions or maybe similar experiences anyone has had in regard to PGT-A testing. I’m currentIy 36-will be 37 next month. I got pregnant with my first born very quickly and it was a smooth uncomplicated pregnancy, he’s 19 months old now. I’ve been trying since last July for a second and had a chemical and two first trimester miscarriages. I have quite a few things that are potential causes including short cycles which affect progesterone, borderline clotting levels, elevated TSH, and 2 out of 37 cells in my genetic testing came back with chromosome abnormality. I just had two failed medicated cycles doing timed intercourse and they advised that the only way to avoid an embryo with chromosome abnormality is IVF with PGTA test. My insurance is luckily decent and the IVF shouldn’t be an issue but the PGTA is not covered and super expensive. Since I’m now having trouble getting pregnant at all I’m inclined to try the IVF without the testing in hopes that since most cells are normal I might get lucky and avoid spending thousands for the PGTA but the PGTA is definitely indicated in my case so I’m so torn how to go about this
