Mold or mildew? How do I clean this?
Please don’t mind the cat fur lol, my guy is super fluffy.
So it’s getting pretty hot where I am, and I want to turn on my AC (I’ve had it for three years). But there’s this stuff inside of it, and for my safety and the safety of my cat, I haven’t turned it on in fear that it could be black mold. My mom is pretty convinced it’s mildew and I’ll be fine, but I don’t know, I just want to be sure.
How would I go about cleaning this? Or is it a total loss? The gunk is all up in there, and I’m at the point where I’d rather get a new one, but don’t want to in the case that this is salvageable. It is usually on, at most, 8 months of the year because I get hot super easy. But because of the gunk in there, it’s only been on 4 months last summer and I haven’t turned it on since.
