Very large palm tree with rotten bits

I'm assuming this one is a goner but in the hope that it can be saved I'm reaching out to ask if anybody has any tips. This morning I found a bunch of these nubs I don't know what else you call them, playing on the ground near the bottom of the tree and it seems like what would happen if it was a fence and it had termites.

Restaurants in the USA now use sando and sandwich interchangeably. What do you think about that?

When some restaurants first started offering a "sando", I think that it was something unique and something that came from modern Japanese food culture. Now a great many restaurants here in the USA have sections of their menu dedicated to "sandos" but they are clearly nothing special in terms of having anything to do with Japan. Having studied Japanese in the past I know the word "sandoichi" and that is clearly the origin but I'm also curious to hear about the evolution of sando in Japan for anyone who cares to share their perspective on it. Thank you!

Screen Room addon for camp trailer

Rockwood DS-2304 (pretty sure)... Came with an awning I never liked because it didn't extend far enough. That got destroyed and I'd rather not replace or repair the mechanism. What I've always wanted is an attachable screen room to extend the living space when the weather calls for it. Are there any products out there that might work or diy solutions?

Edited a typo
