Tell me your experience if you also did a test where you converted a whoop into a pusher and then flew it again with the exact same LiPo, with the exact same takeoff weight, on the same day, and at the same temperature.

Hello my whoop friends. In the course of my many whoop thrust tests and hover time tests (which you can find on my youtube channel), I also revisited the topic of pusher configurations (65mm tiny whoop). I conducted a static thrust test with my Betafpv Air65 Race Whoop, once in the standard puller configuration and once in the pusher configuration. I used the exact same Betafpv Lava II 320mah 95C LiPo battery, the exact same electronics, the same propellers, and I performed all the tests on the same day under identical temperature conditions. The result definitely favors the pusher configuration. And by a significant margin. 8g more maximum thrust and 7g more continuous thrust is equivalent to the weight of about four Tiny Whoop Pitch cameras. That's not to be underestimated, friends, in my opinion. The hover flight time was also higher on average. Interesting. I'm curious what you do with this information, my whoop friends. IMPORTANT: The pusher configuration can appear to be more efficient. But it's not that simple! There are many factors! Perhaps this effect is simply because tiny whoop motors have more play in the bearings, and the flux ring of the motors in the pusher configuration is in a better position, thus ensuring greater motor efficiency. This test is not conclusive! My goal is simply to inspire you to keep trying new things and learning. And that together, as a community, we can advance the whoop hobby and build more powerful and overall better tiny whoops.
