German course + self-study or German course + part-time job?

Hello,
I am a 28-year-old Electrical and Electronics Engineer, and my goal is to pursue a Master's degree in Germany.

I am currently learning German. I have completed the B1 level, and I will soon start B2, followed by C1. At the moment, I am fully dedicated to studying.

I have two options:

Attend my German course from Monday to Friday (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM), then spend the rest of the day studying German, improving my engineering skills, taking technical courses, and preparing for my future Master's and career.

Attend the same German course while also working a part-time (Teilzeit) job in any field (For example Warehouse).

Which option do you think is better for my long-term goal of studying for a Master's degree and building a successful engineering career in Germany? I would appreciate your advice and the reasoning behind your recommendation.

How Can I Get My First Engineering Job after 3 years of graduation?

Hello everyone,

I'm 28 years old and graduated three years ago with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Electronics specialization) in Turkey. Since graduating, I haven't been able to find a job in my field. While studying, I worked part-time in IT support and customer service for 2 years, using SQL, Excel, and Level 1 IT support skills. Currently, I'm learning German every day and have reached approximately B1–B2 level because I plan to pursue a Master's degree in Germany.

One challenge I've faced is confidence. Even when I see job opportunities, I often feel that companies won't accept me, so I don't apply as much as I probably should. A friend pointed out that I haven't been searching aggressively enough, and he's probably right.

My technical skills include: Excel - SQL Databases - Altium Designer - LTSpice

(The subjects I enjoyed the most during university were electronic circuit design and programming.)

I also believe I'm strong in analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and learning new things quickly.

What I'm struggling with is how to restart my career after a three-year gap and what type of roles I should focus on. Part of me feels that I could become a very good engineer, but I need direction and a realistic plan.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can I Skip B2 and Go Straight from B1 to C1?

Hello,

I have completed the B1 course. I would like to start a Master's degree in Engineering in Germany and also work there.

Does it make sense to start a C1 course directly after completing B1, without taking a B2 course first? Or would a B2 course be very useful and beneficial for me?

Thank you in advance for your advice.
