This may be something that’s already been brought up or a reach…

So I’m rewatching the show from season 1(as one does annually). And am I the only one that picked up on enough material and Easter eggs to plant the seed for a romance between Stefan and Bonnie?? With good writing, a better imagination and way less racism, it could’ve been a really good path to explore.

The “that’s a hot back comment”, the way she eventually came around to the idea of him, Stefan going to Sheila to look for Bonnie and even proving he could be trusted, saving Bonnie from the pit she fell into. The romance novel reader in me sees these as seeds that could generate a very interesting romance if the writers had the balls to take in that direction
