I've had this little brown dot for a couple of months now, and I never really thought much of it, mostly assuming that it would grow out with the rest of my nail, right? It's smooth and doesn't hurt at all. It's a weird spot for a mole or freckle which is pretty much the only reason I'm questioning it now. I'm lowkey a chronic nail biter and finger skin picker but this finger is one of the nicer ones in terms of peeling skin and stuff like that. I'm also paranoid about it being something serious because a little over a year ago I got a bunch of burns on my hands that caused a bunch of damage that's still there today, but the burns didn't reach my fingers. But other than that I'm not super worried about it.
