ingrown hairs are ruining my legs ive stayed away from shaving and stuck to waxing yet cant get rid of them. What do i do

(This is ten days after waxing)
I’ve been struggling with really bad ingrown hairs on my thighs and legs, and honestly, it’s starting to affect my quality of life. I constantly notice them, worry about how my legs look, and feel like I’ve tried everything without actually fixing the problem.
I get bumps/ingrown hairs and they just seem to keep coming back. I’m so tired of dealing with them and would genuinely love to hear from anyone who has managed to get rid of theirs.
What actually worked for you? Products, shaving/waxing techniques, routines, treatments — literally anything. I’m looking for something that will prevent them from coming back, not just temporarily make them look better.

Rashes after cat scratch

I got scratched by our cat on Aug 3. These formed in my healing stages about a week ago, and it got progressively worse. (Forming blisters and like the black skin), I really don’t know what this is. It’s itchy as hell but so far no one’s been having these except me in our family. It has recently started to sting.

bump under eye? thought it was a pimple the first few days but has been getting worse by the day.

the first 3 photos are from yesterday morning to last night, and the last 3 photos are from this morning to this evening. this spot started about a week ago, starting as what looked like a normal pimple. the last handful of days however it has become larger, more swollen and tender, and has been putting slight pressure on my eye itself.

update- i feel it’s worth mentioning that it is very much sore to the touch and it is very soft/squishy, not hard like a usual pimple. depending on how it looks/feels tomorrow i may get it looked at.

it's gotten so, SO much worse.

i posted on here a few days ago but no one responded. and since then, it's gotten so much worse. it's a big patch of blister-like translucent bubbles with a few of them having yellow pus inside. my dad says it looks like eczema, but i'm not too sure.

rash that doctor could not diagnose

please help i am a broke backpacker in ireland and am very confused!!
duration: 3 weeks - began 2 days after i arrived in ireland from australia
location: torso (chest, stomach, back, armpits, upper legs and arms).
timeline: spots first appeared on chest and seem to have spread outwards. covering areas in order listed above. spots start small (1ml) and grow to 3cm diameter max. they then flake away from the inside out. spots take almost 3 weeks to disappear and leave shinny patch behind).
symptoms: no itch, pain, burning, pus or bleeding. they are not uncomfortable.
treatments tried: changing soap/detergent, steroid/antifungal (1% w/w + 1% w/w clotrimazole/hydrocortisone), antihistamine (loratadine 10mg)
relevant background: on holiday in ireland from australia, no known skin sensitivity or conditions. have spent lots of time around a friend who has no symptoms, doctor was unsure.
any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated 🙏🙏🙏

What happened to me after body surfing?

38M, 200 pounds, healthy physical - About two weeks ago I was body surfing in the Pacific Ocean in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. I applied sunscreen multiple times. That night, I got back to our hacienda, and it looked like I had the worst ever sunburn. But I had no other burns on any part of my body and the shape of the burn was really strange. Over the next week, I developed several smaller blisters on random parts of the “burn.” The blisters never formed together into a single one.

Photo shows 4 days after and 14 days after the ocean swim.

Is this herpes or a regular wound?

Hi,

Is this herpes on my lips? Got it the day after making out with a girl. Not sure if its herpes or if its just wound from making out (her biting my lip or something). I did feel a bit sore on the lip directly after our ”romantic” time

This is day 2

Mystery itchy bumps spreading for 7+ days, dermatologist unsure, please help

I’ve had the symptoms shown in the first two pictures (on my right leg only) for about 7 days. I initially assumed it was from sand, sweat, and sunscreen since we got back from a vacation in Italy on August 6th. About 9 days in, my boyfriend developed similar-looking bumps on his stomach.

On Monday I saw a dermatologist and she said it could be shingles (herpes zoster) or contact dermatitis, and prescribed Advantan cream and Aerius (desloratadine). It looked a bit better for a day, but since Tuesday I’ve gotten many, many more bumps all over my hands and legs (both, right and left). These new ones feel different: itchy AND painful.

I went back today and she added Xyzal (levocetirizine) on top of the Aerius. She said the bumps look like insect bites, so I checked the whole house for bed bugs and found nothing. Until tonight I hadn’t noticed much itching in the evenings, but tonight it suddenly got way worse.

What should I do at this point?

Advised to visit dermatologist Dry skin or herpetic

I was advised by a medical provider to consult a dermatologist for my thumb, which splits every few months and then heals on its own without any pain or fluid. Initially, I suspected it might be herpetic, but there’s no pain associated with it. The thumb splits and then heals back. I’m curious about the potential treatments a dermatologist could offer. This issue has been recurring for at least five years before I finally paid it any significant attention.

Is this early stage of genital warts?

I noticed these about yesterday, the white ones under my foreskin have been there for a while. The bump on the tip of my foreskin i noticed yesterday evening, the bumps on my shaft I notice a little more later in the night. I have an appointment tomorrow but this is giving me so much anxiety i have to ask if anyone knows or has an idea of what this is. I cant find any photos of early stage genital warts. They do not really hurt or itch just a slight feeling I had last night that was barely noticeable.

Torso, chest, armpit, upper arm, back and groin rash. PLEASE HELP

Healthy 29 year old female. Don’t smoke, occasionally drink alcohol. Exercise, eat a clean and varied diet with whole foods, drink plenty of water, no ailments. Located in Northern British Columbia.

Duration:
- wide spread rash has been present since 7th August, has progressively gotten worse since then.
-the larger red scaly/scabby spots began the first week of July. #1 first looked like a bug bite and then went pimply/scaly. 2 weeks later, #2 turned up between my breasts - initially as a tiny pimple and then developed into the red scab/rash, #3 turned up a few days after #2, also looked like a pimple to start, and then progressively worsened into a pimply/scaly spot.

On the 3rd August I started taking Nitrofurantoin for a UTI. I have not taken this medication before. On the 7th August, 4 days after taking it, I started to develop a widespread rash on my stomach, underarms, chest and back - this has progressively worsened since the 7th August, becoming more red with larger spots. I ceased taking the Nitrofurantoin when the rash developed on the 7th August.

It is very rarely itchy. Itches more after a shower, but nothing crazy. It is not painful.

I went to the ER and they prescribed me Bactrim since I had MRSA when I was a teenager, and he thought it could possibly be a staph rash. I am currently on day 3 of Bactrim.

Sudocream seems to help improve them.

I had a fungal rash in my armpits in April/May that was completely resolved using oral Fluconazole and topical Clotrimazole cream.

I had an online appointment with a dermatologist, and they told me they were unable to diagnose me online. They prescribed me Betaderm Cream 0.1%. I have not yet started using this.

I am trying to get an in person appointment with a dermatologist.

Has anybody else had something similar happen?

Any ideas on what this may be?

Things I have thought it might be:
- Pityriasis Rosea
- Molluscum Contagiosum
- Guttate Psoriasis
- Nummular Eczema
-Granuloma Annulare
- Staph Folliculitis
- Erythema multiforme
-Drug reaction to Nitrofurantoin

Please help 🙏🏻

Tiny painful bumps on torso

I'm 21. Bumps are on the side of torso, very close together, soft and warm to the touch. Noticed it's there yesterday, put on brilliant green because I had nothing else and today it's bigger, more red, tingling and painful. It feels like being poked with needles in that spot. Never had anything like that, didn't wear new clothes recently, don't have allergy issues or history of skin conditions. Idk what to do, should I be worried?

edit Okay thank you everyone for identifying it as shingles, I got aciclovir and going to take it

Small scaly bump on scrotum?

I’ve had this little scaly bump on the bottom of my scrotum for a couple years. It’s not painful or bleeds or does anything out of the ordinary except for the fact that I can pick/pinch a small scale off or out of it about once a month or so.

I’ve left it alone for months but nothing has changed good or bad.

Any clue what it might be or what I might try to get rid of it?

circular rashes / clear center ?

my boyfriend has these circular rashes which he's had for probably months upon months now, trying to rule out ringworm as he has been staying with me for a few months now sleeping in the same bed and I haven't caught it

do we think this could be granuloma annular ? or perhaps a type of eczema, the spot on his hip has gotten a bit bigger the past several months

edit : he says they're only a bit itchy when he scratches them

Infestation or something else?

This started a few days ago. Though, last week I had a few spots that I thought were maybe mosquitoe bites. But I woke up 3 days ago with these red "bites" all over my arms - mostly outside of elbows/back of forearms and things. It's steadily gotten worse/expanded. Each morning I wake up with more "bites" and the ones from the previous day have gotten bigger/darker. I also was having weird hives for a bit that were in long squiggly lines, but I think that was just from itching, they flattened and went away within an hour or so.

I'm a truck driver. I recently had a trainee in my truck and am concerned that they brought unwanted guests in the form of bed bugs. I went to urgent care to rule out measels, scabies, etc. The doctor said it looks like an infestation from bed bugs. But, I'm away from my truck, have investigated my house thoroughly (and have pest control coming to treat it regardless, just in case) and while I'm not waking up even itchier each day, I feel like the spots are continuing to spread - i drew a border around some spots just to confirm, but that was only today.

I'm concerned this may be an autoimmune thing, I'm a 44yr old woman currently in perimenopause and also on a ketogenic diet - though, everything I'm seeing shows that "keto rash" occurs on the chest/back, not the limbs, and (so far 🤞) has not spread much past my shoulders and only a bit onto my hips/waist.

I'm just looking for confirmation because I'd hate to go through the headache of treating for bedbugs in my home and truck (though that's happening regardless!) Only to continue to have issues because that's not what's really at the bottom of this. Thanks!

What is going on with my eye

It’s been on and off for almost a year now. Dermatologist has tried different stuff, not sure what it is. Had tried a small dose of Triamicinolone acitonide per the dermo but it is mildly soothing at best. I want it gone. Plus it’s not good to use that near the eye over a long period. I’m going to try Tacrolimus next but my insurance doesn’t want to approve it. Whatever this is, switches eyes. In Feb it was right. For the past few months it’s been the left. WTH. It’s painful but not intense. I only wear makeup on special occasions so it’s not that.

Why can't i leave a cold compress on all the time? (Sunburn)

I got a sunburn on random spots throughout my body (chest, shoulders, parts of stomach, calves, feet) and the only thing helping with pain is a cold wet towel. I saw online to only leave them on for 20 minutes but as soon as i take it off, it hurts again. Ibuprofen, Tylenol, aloe, and cold showers aren't helping. I've been moisturizing with cerave. I'm just curious if there's any consequences for leaving it on all day or when i sleep.
