Creature from Cambodian folklore
Can anyone tell me which mythical creature this drawing depicts? Is it associated with death? The drawing is from a comic by the French-Cambodian artist Séra.

Khmer speech bubbles in a comic book
As part of my studies, I'm currently analyzing the French comic "Cent mille journées de prières" (2011) by Loo Hui Phang and Michaël Sterckeman. It's a moving story about a boy who discovers the history of the genocide. I was wondering if the Khmer characters are correct or if it's gibberish like it is the case with some other comics. Could someone help me with the translation? Thank you in advance!
