Offering Khmer ↔ English translation and Khmer transcription, looking for my first few clients

Hi everyone! សួស្ដី! I'm a native Khmer speaker, currently a college student in Cambodia, and I'm trying to find a way to earn a little extra income on the side while studying. so I'm currently starting out as a freelance translator/transcriber.

I'm offering:

  • Khmer → English translation
  • English → Khmer translation
  • Manual Khmer audio/video transcription

I can help with things like documents, articles, social media content, captions, interviews, conversations, YouTube videos, podcasts, lectures, and other general content.

I'm currently looking for my first few clients, so I'm keeping my prices affordable and I'm willing to start with smaller projects. Please DM me for more info.

If anyone happens to need Khmer translation or transcription, I'd really appreciate the opportunity. I also have my services available through Fiverr if you'd prefer to order through there.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. 🙏

Sak yant tattoo : machine gun or bamboo ?

Hello, I want to get a traditional Khmer sak yant and I have find the design I want, but the artist only offers machine gun tattoos. He explained that afterwards I have to go get it blessed by monks and that it is as strong as a traditional bamboo tattoo. Do you have any advice on the pros and cons on having a bamboo tattoo vs a machine tattoo for a Sakyant ? ( in terms of spirituality and how it will aged ect ) Thank you !

Khmer women put down Khmer men

Has anyone else noticed that some Khmer women online seem to constantly put down Khmer men?

I was scrolling through TikTok and came across a video from a mixed Khmer creator who said she doesn't want to date within Khmer culture because she's worried about accidentally dating a cousin due to how small the community is. Fair enough—that's her preference.
But then she went on to say she doesn't want to date Khmer men in general, and she was liking comments that were openly insulting Khmer men. After that, she made another video saying Khmer men were angry because she didn't want to date them.
To me, it feels like there's a difference between saying you have a personal dating preference and actively putting down an entire group of people. I've been noticing this kind of content more often, and I'm curious if anyone else has seen it or if it's just my algorithm.
It honestly pisses me off especially when it’s a mixed Khmer girl that doesn’t even look Khmer at all and it’s so obvious they know nothing about Khmer culture.
