Question about changing endocrinologists

I'm currently in the process of looking for a new endocrinologist. I already have a hypothyroidism diagnosis. Unfortunately because finding an endocrinologist where I live is hard my last thyroid ultrasound is at least a year old and I'm running low on thyroid hormones. I'm worried that the doctor won't prescribe me hormones on my first visit.

So my question is what should I do or book at the doctor to ensure I get a prescription? Is my old ultrasound enough or should I book one with the visit? I'm based in Europe if this helps. :))
