Received 24 Aug TCS onboarding mail even after reschedule request was acknowledged – should I ignore it?

Hi everyone,

I need some guidance from people who have gone through the TCS joining/reschedule process.

I received my TCS ILP/onboarding date as 24 August 2026. However, I am currently serving my notice period with my present employer, so I submitted a reschedule request through the TCS portal and also contacted the Xplore/ILP Support Team.

The support team acknowledged my reschedule request and I had mentioned that I would be available from 25 September 2026 onwards.

Today, I unexpectedly received another physical onboarding/induction mail for 24 August with reporting details and document requirements.

Now I'm confused about what I should do.

Should I:

  1. Ignore the 24 August induction mail since my reschedule request was already acknowledged?
  2. Reply to the same reschedule email and ask them to confirm again?
  3. Is this a normal/automated mail that candidates receive even after requesting rescheduling?

If anyone has gone through the same situation, especially candidates who successfully rescheduled their TCS joining due to notice period, please share what happened in your case.

I don't want to accidentally miss anything or risk my offer by assuming the reschedule is already processed.

Any guidance would be really appreciated. 🙏

Rescheduled TCS Joining – Still Receiving Onboarding/Readiness Mails. Should I Ignore Them?

I’m looking for guidance from people who have already rescheduled their TCS joining date.

I was originally given a joining date of 24th Aug in Chennai, but due to the notice period, I requested TCS to reschedule it. I contacted the TCS Xplore Support Team, and they responded to my request, confirming that I would receive a rescheduled joining date.

However, I’m still receiving regular TCS mails related to onboarding/readiness and joining formalities for the original timeline.

Now I’m confused about what I should do.

Since the Xplore Support Team has already acknowledged my rescheduling request and said that I will receive a revised joining date:

  • Should I simply ignore these regular onboarding mails for the original joining?
  • Or do I still need to complete whatever action they are asking for?
  • Has anyone here received these mails after their joining was rescheduled?
  • If you successfully got a rescheduled joining date, how long did it take to receive the new date?

Please share your experience if you have already gone through TCS joining rescheduling, especially if you received onboarding/readiness mails even after your rescheduling was confirmed.

I’m mainly looking for people who have actually faced this situation and successfully joined after rescheduling. Any guidance would be really helpful.
