At long last...
> My time has come. I am the last to be turned rotten; by the Lamb's decree, the procedure will take place tomorrow, on the 658th anniversary of the cult's founding. > > Even though I should know better, I can't help but feel nervous. Our Glorious Leader, in spite of their strange obsession with marine invertebrates and their intolerance for dissent, has been nothing but generous towards those of us loyal to the Red Crown. All of us have been elevated to disciple status, and all of us enjoy all the comforts in the world. Besides, the Rot makes us immune to exhaustion, hunger, cold and disease. Yet there's something ominous about this Rot... > > latest entry in the diary of Nemanthus, disciple of the Song of the Deep, day 657
This is it. I've finally 210%ed the game (110% for the base game and 100% for Woolhaven) and acquired the last abnormal necklace I was looking for.
Some "fun" trivia about the Song of the Deep:
- All cultists take genera of marine invertebrates as names upon indoctrination. The High Priestess (Nautilus/Hagar) and the six Bishops (Magnapinna/Leshy, Hapalochlaena/Heket, Architeuthis/Kallamar, Amphioctopus/Shamura, Vampyroteuthis/Narinder and Thaumoctopus/Yngya) have cephalopod names; the rest of the cultists have cnidarian names. Ranch animals are also named after marine invertebrates (gastropods in their case).
- All cult members are disciples, and most are at least level 50-ish. The lowest-level cultist is level 39, and the highest-level cultist, the High Priestess, is level 105.
- All cult members, with the exception of the High Priestess and the Bishops, are rotten.
- All rotten followers have abnormal necklaces, and all non-rotten followers have golden-skull necklaces. Each cult member wears a robe according to their rank in the cult.
- ???, being a god-like being, was also named after a cephalopod.
- Yes, waiting till the 666th day would have been funnier, but I didn't want to wait 8 in-game days just for that joke.
