Federal Work Study Jobs

When is a good time to apply to federal work study jobs for the fall? I see a few uploaded so far but I don't want to apply and commit to one before I know all of my options (mainly because I'm looking for something clinical or research since I'm premed).

First Gen Premed Gen Chem 1 Lab

I took Gen chem 1 and Gen Chem 1 Lab back in 2020 during Covid so I had to take both online. I'm currently about to start the last 2 years and a half of my Bachelor's at FIU this fall and they said that Gen Chem 1 and Gen Chem 1 Lab (I got an A) doesn't transfer because they were taken online and that I have to retake them. I was also told that I absolutely have to take all of my science premed classes in person for med school. Will my two grades still count under the science GPA or just the general? Do others accept online classes? The rest of my science courses will be taken in person but some of my math had to be taken online.

Financial Aid Help -1500 SAI

I talked to financial aid they told me they couldn't help me only the Scholarship Office knew about my grants and loans and that they are the only ones that have information about the Golden Promise. I talk to the scholarship office and they told me only the Financial Aid office can help me. I then ask the Scholarship Office am I being sent on a wild goose chase? All of a sudden they know everything about The Golden Promise Program. They also told me that my federal loans and Pell grants are only for tuition and not meal plan or housing and told me to apply for scholarships. I looked at the scholarships and they are all for hospitality majors. I am a transfer AA student for BS Electrical Engineering: Premed. I am planning on using my federal loans for housing but don't think I have enough for meal plan. Anyone else get the run around?

I am -1500 SAI COA is around 29000 and I have 19895 in aid. Anyone else in a similar position? Did you have enough for a meal plan? I wasn't offered Federal Work Study. I've been out of a job for a year now and have no savings. I applied and applied but nothing. I am going to try and get a job somehow at FIU but I don't know if I'll be able to get one with so many students on campus.
