Is er iemand die kan uitleggen waarom die schermen nooit werken?

ENG: is there someone that can explain why these screens never work?

Is there someone working at De Lijn that knows why half of the time in these modern electric dubbele/gelede/articulated busses the screen always just shows random data and never properly shows the next stops?

In each press release they are so proud with minister de ridder saying "these new modern busses have big screens for passenger information"...

But kinda useless if they don't work half of the time.

I just want to know: who do I direct my anger towards? Is this a De Lijn issue? Is it because of the bus manufacturer? Or some other random company that for some reason has something to do with it.

Because a lot of the times, de lijn (and the nmbs for that matter) get a lot of shit for things they can't control. Unfortunately, they almost always claim they can't control it even when it's entirely their fault...

Okay that rant turned out a little bit longer than expected 😅

But as a frequent bus traveler, lots of frustration the last year. Untill 2 years ago I used believe I could live without a car. Now with the stupid "basisbereikbaarheid" I'm sure I will need a car

To the flemish government: if you want people to take public transit it needs to be good and a viable alternative

And it needs to be there in the first place

Walking 1,5km every time is not 'normal' or 'logical', image of your car was parked 1,5km away, always. And you can only unlock it every half hour, if you miss the time slot you have to wait 30 more minutes

Does anyone know why quite a few busses have half of this "school children" sign on them?

As the title says, I'm really wondering what's the reason for them. The majority of the busses doesn't have them, but there are quite a lot that do.

And I don't understand why it's in half. Why not take jf off completely or just have the whole sign? And this isn't just one bus, every bus I saw had exactly half of the sign.

So if any personnel of de lijn or someone who just knows could answer this, I would be really thankful!
