Star Force 3: Question for the 500 battles gate

If I equip a Noise Card (the Mod Cards), does the battle count toward the 500 that I need to open the gate? I know bosses don't count, but I feel like I've already done 500

Star Force 2: BMW at Observation Deck

How do I get this BMW? I looked up some maps, apparently there's supposed to be an arrow that sends me there, but I don't know how to make it appear

Edit: Thank you to both commentors for the help. The reward wasn't THAT important, but it would've bothered me to no end if I didn't get it
