hi guys! i’m graduating high school soon and ive always wanted to do a road trip, today i realized i have the perfect window this summer but it’s kinda short, so i’m wondering if i would actually want to do all this. this is just a rough draft, i literally came up with this an hour ago lol
-drive from oklahoma to ohio, with a night in kansas and kentucky (i know people there i can stay with)
-stay in ohio for a few days/weeks, i have family there and i have to be there on a certain date anyway so i can do the OK-OH leg however long before
-drive to NJ to a friends house, stay a night or two
-drive to rhode island to stay with a family friend, spend 2-3 days there to see providence, boston, and where i’ll be going to college in the fall
thats what i 100% want to do, this next part could be cut out if necessary:
-drive back to NJ to stay the night, then go to raleigh for a day or two to see a friend
-drive back to OK, spending the night with family in tennessee
the main issue i think of rn is that driving back from tennessee is 12 hrs, so i might need to spend the night somewhere otw, but idk where i could (worst case scenario i can get a hotel tho). is this doable? would it be more feasible to cut out the southern part and just drive back from MA the way i came, or maybe just cut out raleigh? i would only have 11 full days to do all of this… please be honest (but not mean pls) i drove 80% of the way from OK to OH last summer and didnt mind it at all. but that was split into 2 days with lots of stops, we turned a 12 hour drive into 20 total 😭 but anyways yeah i’m open to any and all advice! :)
