Ive noticed this more and more in christian people in my country and its concerning

Theres exists a theory called the great replacement theory. It boils down to the belief that people of colour are gonna start having more kids in an attempt to replace white people on earth. Its absurd but i see more and more christian people in south africa that believe in this garbage. My dad one day in the car said that when Mandela was sent to prison his last command to his followers were “outbreed them”. Which is factually incorrect. Its another case of hate that resonates mostly with Christian people in this country. I hate people

Thoughts on the drive by wire system?

I recently saw a very old rant about the drive by wire system in the 2009 mazda 3 and it got me thinking. I have never had issues with the drive by wire system in my 2008 2 and it’s virtually the same response wise to a cabled throttle system. What were your experiences with the drive by wire system like in these cars?

A few years ago my mom had a boyfriend. He was one of many but he stuck out to me because of his opinions on certain things. He was also a gamer and tech guy so we had a few things to bond over, until i realised how much he had lost his mind. He was a Christian as the title states but believed some strange extra things. The biggest was this. He says that nothing we say is fiction is actually fiction and that the characters in franchises like marvel all really existed and were fallen angels who used demonic influence to implant them into the minds of the writers of these franchises which resulted in the movies we watched. This baffled me. To think someone could be so insane that they believe fictional characters were fallen angels and all really existed was a shock. Furthermore he said that when the rapture happened they would all rise and aid in torturing those that were left behind. I remembered this today and can honestly say that i am at a loss for words.

As we all know religious groups love to force their ideology on anyone and everything they can. And have done so in mass on multiple occasions. One of the most famous examples was the satanic panic that happened when hard rock started to gain traction. Hundreds burned vinyls and prayed over those who listened to bands like acdc saying they were messengers of the devil and that they needed to be saved from their sins. This was long ago as we all know but i fear it might have a second coming(pun intended). As we know the world has started making age verification laws to prevent people who dont send their ids to governments from seeing any 18+ content. This extends to music like heavy metal. My favourite genre i might add. This in itself is already bad but i fear what would happen if this mass controll scheme would get mixed with religion. It might start a second satanic panic where it would be even harder to access your favourite stuff that doesnt have crosses plastered all over it since physical media is becoming rare these days. Maybe im a bit paranoid but i feel like were headed for a Fahrenheit 451 scenario but bigger than just books.

I had a conversation with a college mate recently and he asked me why I’m an atheist and not a Christian like my family. I told him that i only believe something with substantial evidence to back it up. Like the literal mountains of evidence that science has to back it up. He replied that he understands what i mean but that Christianity does have substantial evidence behind it. Confused i asked him what this supposed evidence was. He then said that the bible was substantial evidence since it was first hand accounts of what happened. This puzzles me. Because in what world is the bible evidence or first hand accounts. I give up.
